DESCRIPTION:
Organic bulgur is an excellent ingredient in one-pot meals, a filling for roasted vegetables, and salads. It’s perfect as an addition to baked dishes or stews, or as a sweet dish with fruit, dried fruit, or honey.
Preparation: Pour lightly salted boiling water over bulgur in a 1:2.5 ratio (1 portion of bulgur to 2.5 portions of water), cook uncovered for approximately 7 minutes. Then remove from the heat, cover, and leave to swell.
Cooked bulgur has a low glycemic index (GI = 55), meaning it doesn’t cause sudden spikes in blood sugar levels and is excellent for diabetics and those with insulin resistance.

Bulgur is high in phosphorus, copper, and manganese. Phosphorus contributes to the maintenance of healthy teeth and bones, the proper functioning of cell membranes, and contributes to normal energy metabolism.
