MOYA MATCHA TRADITIONAL
Moya Matcha Traditional has an intense green color, a well-balanced bitter-sweet flavor, and a delicate tea aftertaste. It is obtained exclusively from the first and second harvest of fresh bush leaves, which ripen under special sunshades. Thanks to this treatment, the leaves acquire a higher chlorophyll and l-theanine content and acquire an intense green color. Immediately after harvesting, the leaves are gently steamed, dried, and ground into a fine powder after separating the leaves from the stems.
MATCHAWAN
Matchawan is handcrafted on a potter’s wheel from gray clay with a delicate addition of fireclay and a glaze made according to centuries-old Japanese tradition.
The matchawan is a traditional tool used in the Japanese tea ceremony. It is also by far the most convenient vessel for drinking matcha, which is best whisked with a bamboo whisk (called a chasen). The bowl’s vertical walls and wide bottom allow you to easily and conveniently whisk the matcha in water and quickly create a layer of foam on the surface. Please note that the temperature of the water in which the matcha is prepared should not exceed 80°C.

BAMBOO MATCHA WHISPERS CHASEN
Traditional Japanese whisk for frothing matcha tea. The whisk is made from a single piece of bamboo, where precise cuts and a carefully tied cotton thread create delicate tendrils, which, when properly shaped, create a jasper-like foam when whisking the matcha. Using the whisk, make W- or M-shaped movements in the bowl. This allows the matcha to be thoroughly combined with the water, creating a suspension, and a layer of foam should appear on the tea surface. Perfect frothing is achieved thanks to the flexible bamboo bristles of the whisk. These bristles are gently curved at the bottom and gathered together at the top, ending with a special wooden handle.
THE CHASEN STAND
The chasen stand is not only a beautiful element of a traditional Japanese matcha tea ceremony set. It is a practical tool that helps maintain the delicate tendrils of the chasen in perfect shape, ensuring its longevity. The stand is made of shiny black porcelain.
CHASHAKU SPOON
A chashaku is a spoon used for spooning matcha. Originally made of bamboo, it is used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony to scoop powdered tea. It allows us to precisely scoop the required amount of matcha. Matcha tea is prepared differently from other types of tea, and using a chashaku spoon brings us closer to the traditional ceremony.
